Every four years our annual symposium is held as a part of the International Congress of History of Science and Technology. Because the organization of such a big event takes an enormous amount of time, the call for papers is issued more than a year in advance, therefore currently we have two open calls for papers: for our 2020 standalone symposium in Eindhoven and for 2021 symposium held as a part of ICHST in Prague.
47th (2020) Eindhoven, The Netherlands
13-19 July 2020 – go to the conference page
48th (2021) Prague, Czech Republic
25-31 July 2021 – go to the conference page
Each symposium of ICOHTEC begins with an opening lecture named after Melvin Kranzberg, one of the founders of our Committee. As the society, we consider it a prestigious distinction and therefore invite to lecture the most distinguished scholars, in hope they would inspire and stimulate an engaging scholarly debate throughout the meeting. Every four years, however, when ICOHTEC meets within the International Congress of History of Science, and Technology (ICHST), we enjoy the opening lectures invited by the Congress’ organizers.
Here is the list of our past Kranzberg Lecturers.
While looking forward to the next intellectual feast, why not to read about Melvin himself? Please take a moment, and look at him through Robert Post’s eyes, who had a privilege to know him personally.
