The Italian Society for the History of Science (SISS) invites proposals for its National Conference “Transformations and Intersections: Material Practices, Scientific and Technical Knowledge between Past and Present”, to be held at the University of L’Aquila on 27–29 May 2026 (with a day trip on 30 May). The meeting explores “transformation” across broad temporal and geographical perspectives, with particular attention to the materiality of science and the intersections among science, technology, environment, medicine, gender studies, museology, and related fields. Proposals for thematic sessions (minimum 4 papers) and individual papers must be submitted by 27 February 2026 to convegno@societastoriadellascienza.it; applicants will be notified by 16 March 2026. Conference registration is due 3 April 2026, and contributions may be submitted in Italian or English.
