CfP: 10th International Undergraduate Research Conference on Science, Technology, Medicine, and Society (University of Toronto) — Hybrid, 27–28 March 2026

The University of Toronto’s History and Philosophy of Science Undergraduate Society (HPSUS) invites undergraduate students worldwide to submit papers for the 10th International STMS Conference, held in hybrid format on 27–28 March 2026. This year’s theme, “The Subjectivity of Science and its Impact on Societal ‘Truths’,” encourages students to examine how scientific ideas, methods, and cultures shape (and are shaped by) social contexts—past and present—including topics such as race and “biological” claims, gender and sexuality, disability, Indigenous histories, ethics and governance of AI, eugenics, and environmental issues. Submissions are due Friday, 13 February 2026, and should include a 250-word abstract plus a 50-word bio, submitted via the online form; applicants will be notified by Friday, 27 February 2026. For questions, contact Selina Kimchand (Selina.Kimchand@mail.utoronto.ca) or hpsus.utoronto@gmail.com.
