The Brussels Centre for Urban Studies is recruiting a PhD researcher for the project “UNravelling dIfferent CYCLING futures (UNICYCLING)”, funded by Innoviris and developed jointly by UCLouvain, Cosmopolis (VUB) and the Mobilise Research Group (VUB). The position is a full-time PhD scholarship for 36 months (three one-year contracts), with an intended start date of 1 April 2026, focusing on cycling cultures and policy in the Brussels-Capital Region and the development of participatory 2050 scenarios using mixed methods (interviews/surveys/policy analysis). Applicants should hold a relevant Master’s degree and have an excellent command of French and English (Dutch is an asset). Applications must be submitted via the VUB online form by 8 February 2026.
