CfP: “History and Geopolitics of Nuclear Deindustrialization” (Turin, 11–12 June 2026)

The international conference “History and Geopolitics of Nuclear Deindustrialization” will take place 11–12 June 2026 in Turin, Italy, bringing together historical, geopolitical, socio-environmental, cultural, and economic perspectives on the diverse trajectories of nuclear deindustrialization and their relevance for contemporary nuclear policies. Organized within the DENUCLIT (PRIN 2022) and GeoNuFE (ERC Starting Grant) research projects, the conference welcomes paper proposals on topics such as industrial restructuring, labor and expertise, decommissioning and waste management, post-nuclear landscapes and memory, governance, and the political geographies of nuclear infrastructures and supply chains. EBHA Doctoral Travel Grants for the 3rd World Congress of Business History (Toronto, July 2026)

The European Business History Association (EBHA) is offering three travel grants to support Europe-based PhD candidates who will present a paper at the 3rd World Congress of Business History (Toronto, July 2026). PhD Scholarship: Mobility and the Future of Cycling in Brussels (VUB) — Deadline 8 February 2026

The Brussels Centre for Urban Studies is recruiting a PhD researcher for the project “UNravelling dIfferent CYCLING futures (UNICYCLING)”, funded by Innoviris and developed jointly by UCLouvain, Cosmopolis (VUB) and the Mobilise Research Group (VUB). The position is a full-time PhD scholarship for 36 months (three one-year contracts), with an intended start date of 1 April 2026, focusing on cycling cultures and policy in the Brussels-Capital Region and the development of participatory 2050 scenarios using mixed methods (interviews/surveys/policy analysis).
